I`ve had a couple of sessions on my new Wainman Hawaii Rabbit kites (RG3), and have written a few words on my first impression with them.
I just love the new control bar, it just feels perfect in my hands. It’s simple with no unnecessary stuff, which also is very good for safety in the Waves. The bar itself is thinner, so it gives a much better grip. It looks very strong and durable, and the new safety release and ding is great. Everything on it is just clean and for me it fits perfect.
The first thing I noticed on the kites is how stable they are, they just sits perfect in the sky. All the sizes seem perfectly tuned, and it feels amazing to ride them. They are fast, responsive and you always know what they are doing. They let you focus on the wave, and not too much on the kite.
When it comes to water start they are insane. They pop back up in air almost without any action from the rider.
For me one of the big likes is how they can drift “down the line”, it`s amazing how they will stay in the air! This again lets you focus more on the wave.
They also seem very strong and solid, which is really important. You need a kite you can trust.
One thing I always have loved with the Rabbit kites is their wide range of skills. And the RG3 is no exception; this kite will do it all. Waves, freeride and even freestyle these guys can handle. I have always liked the 3 different setup options on the front lines (downwind, middle and upwind). It`s really easy to do, and it gives every rider the possibility to tune the kite to their personal style.
They all got a new one pump system, which works really well. I imagine it will be especially well appreciated in the snowkite community. The new bags are also very well done, and looks solid.
I am really looking forward to hit the wave season in Norway with the new Rabbit kites, can`t wait to get out there.
